As the Yellow Line train departs from L’Enfant Plaza, it quickly emerges from the dark Metro tunnels into the sunlight casting over the Potomac River with the Jefferson Memorial and Washington Monument as its backdrop. That 45 seconds of staring out the window while crossing the Potomac is the best part of my daily commute to Arlington. Shot on Nikon FE2 with Kodak Portra 400.
