This image is a part of my photo series, “Music is Not A Four-letter Word,” where I accentuate the beauty of Black American Music culture. The way the light brings texture to the trumpeter and the trumpet illuminates the reverent relationship the trumpeter has with his instrument. To him, the trumpet is God itself as he takes a moment from playing the tool to worship and praise the instrument that has given him life and meaning.
