The Nikon AF Zoom-NIKKOR 24-85mm f/2.8-4D IF is a versatile, fast standard zoom lens designed for full-frame (FX) F-mount cameras.

• Fast & Versatile Aperture: Bright f/2.8 maximum aperture at 24mm, stepping down to f/4 at 85mm for solid low-light capability and flexible depth-of-field control.
• 1:2 Macro Capability: Dedicated macro switch at the 35–85mm range allows close-up shooting up to a 1:2 reproduction ratio (minimum focus distance of 8.3 inches).
• Physical Aperture Ring: D-type lens with an aperture ring, ensuring full compatibility with classic film bodies as well as modern DSLRs.
• Internal Focusing (IF): Non-rotating front element simplifies the use of circular polarizers and gradient filters (72mm filter thread).
• Autofocus Requirements: Uses a body-driven screw-drive system; requires a camera with a built-in focus motor (e.g., D7000-series, D750, D850). Functions as manual-focus-only on entry-level bodies (D3000/D5000 series) and FTZ adapters.
